Get Trained. Save a Life: Free Online Narcan Training for Opioid Overdose Prevention

The opioid crisis continues to impact countless lives, but you have the power to make a difference. Join the Chicago Recovering Communities Coalition (CRCC) for their 2024 Online Narcan Training, an essential program that equips individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent opioid overdoses. Offered on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month at 12 PM, these life-saving sessions provide practical, hands-on education on how to respond effectively in an overdose situation.


What You'll Learn:

  • How Naloxone Works: Understand the role of Narcan (naloxone) in reversing the effects of an opioid overdose and how it can save lives in emergency situations.

  • How to Identify an Overdose: Learn the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose, giving you the knowledge to act quickly and decisively.

  • How to Respond to an Overdose: Gain crucial skills in overdose response, including what steps to take to help stabilize the individual while awaiting medical assistance.

  • How to Administer Naloxone: Be trained to safely and correctly administer naloxone, the life-saving medication that can reverse an opioid overdose.


By completing this training, you’ll be empowered to make a real difference in your community. The training is free, available online via Zoom, and also offers 2 CEUs for professionals.
